I don't propose to go through this behemoth chunk by chunk because I'll still be doing it at Christmas and those of you new to it will just get confused. Instead, over the page, I'm going to do things bit by bit starting with displaying bitmaps.

Alternatively I'm trying something new here- you should be able to download this sketch as a text file. Click the link below to do so, and when given the option, open. It should pop up as a text file that you can copy and paste.  As I said this is a new thing I'm trying. It works perfectly for me but if you have problems let me know.
